Supacaz’s Suave Bar Tape raises the bar for handlebar comfort, and while smooth tape may not lead to a smoother pedal stroke, it certainly can’t hurt. At least, that must be the secret behind Quick-Step’s amazing 2018 season, in which they dominated while gripping bars wrapped in the Suave tape. Compared to Supacaz’s standard Sticky Kush tape, the Suave has a more supple hand feel and uses injected silicone padding instead of foam.
